Giving Circle Philadelphia

Welcome to Giving Circle Philadelphia (GCP)! It is an especially exciting time for our women-led philanthropic organization. We began this work in 2012 in partnership with the Philadelphia Foundation as the philanthropic arm of TTN Philadelphia (now Women’s Connection). In the summer of 2026, we transitioned to an independent giving circle, with our own nonprofit status. We continue our long partnership with the Philadelphia Foundation and our mission to improve the lives of women and children in Philadelphia through the power of collective philanthropy.

Since our modest beginnings in 2012 with an initial grant of $10,000, our giving circle has raised and awarded more than $700,000 in grants to local nonprofits. Each year members contribute a minimum of $200 to our annual fundraising campaign. As part of that effort, we offer educational programs about the difficult issues facing women and children in our community. Some of our members serve on the grants committee and visit nonprofit organizations to learn more about their work. All members have the opportunity to vote for the year’s grantees each spring.
